About Me

I am Lazendra Hairston founder and creator of Gabelicious Designs. I named my business after my daughter Gabriella, who is the light of my life. For years I have enjoyed creating unique items for my friends and family. They would always ask why do you not do this as a business. After many years of encouragement from my family and friend I have decided to use my talents to start my own business.  My business started merely as a means to make ends meet.  It has evolved  a lot over the years. I have created hairbows, tutus, wreaths, burlap door hangers, custom burp clothes, planned parties, and so much more.  I get some much joy from doing what I love.  I have decided to create a blog so that I can share with others the wonderful things I love to create, along with simple easy tutorials every once in awhile as I have time to get them developed.  I love what I do and now my passion has spilled over onto my daughter as well. Gabbey has created her own off shoot of my business called Gabelicious Designs by Gabbey. Her business showcases her love or baking and handmade cards and gifts. She is one smart cookie. She uses the funds she makes from selling her crafts to help offset the cost of the summer camp she likes to attend for students interested in the field of medicine.  She reached over half of her fundraising goal of $3000 last year simply from selling her baked goods and crafts. Needless to say this house is always full of one great craft or baking project after another.  We hope that as you follow us along on this journey that you find ideas that you can use in your craft time or visit one of our stores to purchase our products.
